Montreal 80's Cult Magazine
What started out as an original concept to promote our work and mutual talents became an over nigth sensation. I teamed up with art director Daniel Charron and writer André Ducharme, both edgy in their fields, to create poster size Manoeuvres magazine. We
basically broke all the rules in producing this publication and it was a real challenge to do so. It carried an underground vibe for many reasons, but also because of the fabulous parties we would throw for the launching of each issue.
''The first edition arrived in March of 1987, with ads for places like Di Salvio’s, the late-night lounge that was then the most popular spot of its kind on St-Laurent Boulevard, sandwiching profiles of sexy and up-and-coming Montrealers. Manoeuvres’ creators decided early on that their widly oversized magazine would be as much about the lauch event as the publication itself. ''
